The peaceful times in the insurance brokerage market in Romania are over, and those who want to survive and continue having a successful career in this field need to step out of their comfort zone in all aspects. Regarding the sale of products, they need to focus on types of insurance beyond just RCA (auto liability insurance). In terms of involvement in the insurance world, they must be proactive, stay informed, voice their opinions, participate in professional associations, and contribute to the regulation of the market and the environment in which we all operate," stated Stefan PRIGOREANU.

We have a hot and interesting summer ahead. The brokerage market is heading towards a golden age, I would say, with very promising times when about 80% of insurance policies will be brokered, the average premium will rise, and the per capita insurance consumption will grow slowly but steadily. These are times when those who endure in the market will be much better professionally prepared, more focused on customer satisfaction, and true professionals. However, before things get significantly better, we are experiencing a bit of a downturn and more challenging times," said the insurance specialis.

Will brokers disappear? "No, they will not disappear. Brokerage will be stronger after these changes, but the number of brokers will likely decrease, probably from about 400 to a maximum of 200, but those who remain will be very strong," Stefan PRIGOREANU replied, estimating that smaller brokers will align with larger brands.
