RCA is to Romania what diabetes is to health

"The RCA issue for Romanian society is a disease similar to diabetes, for which only simple solutions have been attempted," declared Stefan Prigoreanu, CEO of Millennium Insurance Broker (MIB), at the event marking the company's listing on the AeRO market, as reported by Agerpres.

"From my perspective, insurers have not been dropping like flies; it's the market leader that has fallen each time. The remaining insurers are very solid, well-capitalized, and are very strong international brands. Personally, I have almost all types of insurance possible, and not with just one company: I have about three life insurance policies, one or two health insurance policies, liability coverage, and almost everything that can be insured... This is why brokers have done well: when we approach a client and present multiple offers, the client asks us, 'Do you have this insurance?' Of course, we do, otherwise, we wouldn’t propose it. Unfortunately, the RCA example is a problem for the Romanian market, a complex problem. Many make the mistake—both political factors and decision-making institutions—of thinking that it can be solved simply. The RCA issue cannot be resolved easily. RCA is to Romanian society what diabetes is to health. For a patient, there is no single pill to solve the problem. A balanced diet is needed, appropriate medication, physical health, etc. So, solving this problem is complicated. Until now, only simple solutions have been attempted. Whether they worked or not will be seen in the future. Overall, we are doing well because we are very close to the client and do not focus solely on short-term profit, but on the relationship with the client for the next 10, 15, 20 years," Prigoreanu explained.

On Monday, Millennium Insurance Broker (MIB) shares were listed on the AeRO market, the trading segment of the Multilateral Trading System of BVB. The company's shares are traded under the ticker symbol MIB.
